Sometimes…people make me sad.

The Internet

Thank you Charlyne Yi your thoughtful post on the internet (see below).  I think many unhappy (and seemingly happy) people treat the online world as an emotional dumpster for their problems, not realizing there are real people out there with feelings that can be hurt.  I think Charlyne is graced and cursed with the gifts of intelligence and sensitivity and that’s why what she does is so thoughtful and engaging to people, and occasionally attracts the pathological scorn of the unfiltered masses online.  The trick online, I believe, is to see through the relentless river of bit sludge for the worthwhile gems of wisdom, value, and enlightenment.  That’s what I try to do.

After reading an email regarding a dear man who is making efforts to help orphans in Sri Lanka and his difficulties… I soon found myself surrounded in internet sewage of hate mail. And I’m in awe.

I feel as if the internet has become a farm, a harvesting home for negativity. It is a strange…

I became a journalist partly so that I wouldn’t ever have to rely on the press for my information.

This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever heard with Tamlyn Tomita.  Star of “Karate Kid Part II” and now appearing on “Glee”
